We're SWAFLY MACHINERY CO., LIMITED, out of Guangzhou, and genuine new Isuzu engine assemblies are a line we keep stocked year-round — not a "we'll order it for you" promise. The models on the rack right now run from the small 4JJ1 and 4LE2 up through the 4HK1, 6HK1, 4BG1, 6BG1 and the big 6WG1 and 6UZ1.

Same family name doesn't mean same engine, though. Two 4HK1s can sit on completely different plumbing depending on the machine they came out of — different mounts, wiring, fuel setup, the lot. So before we confirm anything, we'd rather look at your actual application than guess off the badge.

Most of these go into excavators and heavier kit. Depending on the config, they turn up in SANY, Hitachi, Sumitomo, CASE, JCB and XCMG machines, plus plenty of other construction and industrial gear running an Isuzu block.

If you're replacing one, the single most useful thing you can send us is a photo of the nameplate. Ten seconds with that picture tells us more than a paragraph of description. Machine model and original engine number help too.

The engines, one by one

4JJ1

The four-cylinder one everyone asks about for compact and mid-size excavators. A lot of the 4JJ1 work we see is straight replacement, and usually the customer wants a complete assembly with the right accessories hung on, not a bare block. Send the original engine info and we'll check what we've got.

4LE2

Compact, the one you reach for when space is tight and the machine just needs to run every day. Before we ship, we line up the install dimensions and accessory layout against your original.

4HK1 / 6HK1

The workhorses. 4HK1 sits in the medium-duty stuff; the six-cylinder 6HK1 goes into the bigger machines that need the extra grunt. If it's going under a Hitachi, SANY, Sumitomo, CASE, JCB or XCMG, give us the original engine model and machine config first — that's what decides the fit.

4BG1 / 6BG1

Old faithfuls. If you maintain older excavators, you know these well. On the older machines, getting the mounting and accessory config right matters more than just landing the same engine family. Send us the original machine details and we'll match it.

6WG1 / 6UZ1

The heavy hitters, for when the job needs serious output. We supply complete assemblies to whatever config and requirement you've got. For these, we'll be blunt: send the nameplate, the machine model and a couple of photos before you order. More info up front means less chance of the wrong unit showing up.

Genuine new, not a catalogue guess

We're not in the business of quoting you a model from a book and hoping it fits. We want to put an engine in your machine that actually runs it.

Depending on the model and what's on the rack, that can be:

Why matching matters more than the model number

Here's the trap: an engine can carry the same basic model number and still be wrong for your machine. When we replace an excavator engine we end up checking a whole list — serial and engine model, machine model, arrangement, mounting points, flywheel and housing, fuel system, wiring and sensors, turbo and intake/exhaust layout, accessories. The model badge is maybe the first tenth of it.

So if all you've got is a blurry photo of the nameplate, send it. We can start there.
