Feedback from an Excavator Operator: From direct injection to electronic injection, Cummins' reliability is simply unmatched.

Having operated through both direct and electronic injection eras, Cummins has never let me down. I’m an equipment owner from Hunan, and I can truly say — you only know how durable Cummins is when you’ve used it yourself.

Back in 2012, I bought this Hyundai 225-7 and started my journey with Cummins. The stability of this diesel engine is beyond question. When I sold that 225-7 in 2021, it had clocked 14,000 hours, and the Cummins direct-injection engine hadn’t leaked a drop of oil — never even needed repairs. Absolutely satisfied.

Because of my experience with that Cummins-powered Hyundai, I stuck with the brand when buying a new machine and went for a Hyundai with an electronic injection Cummins engine. This Hyundai 215VS was purchased in April 2020 and has around 7,800 hours on it so far. It’s still running strong. I’ve always used Hyundai’s recommended oil during the warranty period too. Here’s hoping it keeps helping my family earn a steady income.
